Eyelid Lift
Cosmetic eyelid surgery also called blepharoplasty can be performed on just the upper eyelids, just the lower lids or both when necessary. The primary goal for upper eyelid surgery is to remove the excess skin that is touching the lashes creating the “tired look”. A small amount of fat may also be removed to rejuvenate the eyelids. Brow Lift
A browlift is also known as a Forehead Lift which involves rejuvenating the forehead and lifting the eyebrows. The pre-existing hairline will determine the placement of the incisions. For the browlift if a patient has a high hairline and wishes to lower it, an incision is placed at the hairline. Chin Implant Surgery
A chin implant procedure is performed for a patient that has a weak and recessive chin profile. Chin implants are composed of Silastic, and are surgically inserted through a submental approach under local anesthesia. Chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and different shapes, such as extended wings, anatomical and pre-jowl implants. The size and shape is determined at the time of the consultation and examination by Dr. Portuese since the implants and the chin are both 3-dimensional structures.
Cheek Implants
Cheek implants are placed for patients who have a flat maxilla and flat cheek profile. This can be due to the aging process or simply the way you are born. Cheek implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes which include small, medium, and large and are composed of Silastic, which is at an inert material. Cheek implants are also manufactured in a variety of shapes, such as malar, submalar and combined malar/sub-malar. The implants are placed through an incision above the teeth and gumline through the intra-oral approach and are inserted into a precise pocket directly over the maxilla bone and underneath the periosteum, which typically will hold them in place adequately. https://www.portlandfacial.com/procedures/cheek-implants-oregon
Neck Lift
A top neck lift procedure in our practice is performed for patients who are less than 50 years of age, and have excellent skin tone in the neck but simply have excess fatty deposits in the neck and wish to have a jawline enhancement. A neck lift will not tighten loose facial and neck skin; the facelift procedure tightens skin.

I had my lower eyelids done by Dr. Portuese, this was a procedure I had been wanting for years. My lower eyelids were puffy and looked tired. After discussing the procedure and my concerns with Dr. Portuese, I made the decision to have surgery. It was done under general anesthesia, and I was very nervous the morning of my operation. Meeting with the anesthesiologist beforehand put me at ease. The surgery was over quickly and I was waking up in recovery with the nurses comforting me. As soon as I was awake and stable, I headed home to rest. I didn’t have much pain besides a little headache. My eyes healed quickly without any complications and faster than I expected! I was sure to follow the post-op instructions from the nurses and that definitely helped with the healing. One week later I was back to work with only slight bruising, that could be covered with make-up. Now I have fully healed and couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
